Florida A&M is adding international experience and versatility to its frontcourt.
Benjamin Ndour, a 6-foot-9 forward from Dakar, Senegal, has signed with FAMU, according to a source who spoke with The Field of 68.
Ndour most recently played professionally for Etrusca Basket San Miniato in Italy’s Serie B Interregionale. The 22-year-old previously spent time in the Italian basketball system with Unieuro Forlì, where he was developed as both a power forward and center.
Etrusca described Ndour as a physically gifted frontcourt player capable of playing both forward and center. He stands approximately 205 centimeters (6-foot-9) and weighs 86 kilograms (189 pounds).
What makes Ndour particularly intriguing for the Rattlers is his all-around skill set. He can impact games as a rebounder and shot blocker, attack the rim with aggression and extend defenses by stepping outside to the 3-point line.
That versatility gives FAMU another frontcourt option who can contribute on both ends of the floor and potentially create matchup problems in the SWAC.
Ndour began playing senior-level basketball at just 16 years old in Italy before progressing through the Italian professional system. He eventually joined Etrusca San Miniato in 2023 after spending three seasons with Forlì.
His addition continues the aggressive roster-building approach of FAMU head coach Charlie Ward, who has expanded the Rattlers’ recruiting reach beyond traditional college basketball pipelines.
For FAMU, bringing in a player with professional experience overseas could provide valuable size, athleticism and versatility as the Rattlers prepare for the 2026-27 season.
Ndour now heads to Tallahassee with an opportunity to bring his international experience to HBCU basketball.
